Adam Unger is an experienced property manager and associate broker with Atlas Real Estate Group voted the best property management company in Denver for 2 years in a row via the Denver Business Journal. With 4 years of experience managing several hundred properties with a range of types including single family, duplex, tri-plex, quad-plex, and apartment buildings up to 40 units. Responsibilities regarding these properties can be explained as a start to finish process starting with working directly with the owners and setting their goals and needs, finding the prospective tenants, doing a thorough application process to find the best fitting person/s, placing the tenants in the property once approved, taking the maintenance calls at all times (24-7), moving tenants out including everything from positive move outs to evictions, etc.

Adam Unger is an owner of rental properties first and foremost before being a property manager and an associate broker which gives a unique and more specific knowledge of what it takes to acquire, keep, and manage and maintain a rental property. While managing anywhere from 100-180 properties (doors) at a time, Adam also manages his own 4 rental properties located in Denver and Arvada Colorado.


What’s your background?

I am a Colorado native, mountain man at heart. Grew up on a snowboard and a dirtbike, love my family, have an amazing woman and no kids other than my furry child – a 10 year old Border Collie. I have a fairly interesting background for work. Shortly after highschool I was a caregiver at an assisted living facility in Evergreen Colorado, then I got my barber license, my mom and I opened a barbershop in Cherry Creek North. Then I became a real estate agent for another company but quickly realized I wanted more than they could provide so I looked around and found my work family in Atlas Real Estate Group and haven’t looked back since!

Why did you choose to work with Atlas Real Estate Group?

I chose Atlas because I felt the positive vibe when interviewing for new opportunities. That vibe has expanded exponentially since then as I didn’t know what I was getting into! This company RULES!!! I love the environment, the people, and what the company stands for as well as what it does for its employees and its community in general. 

What is the greatest challenge you see in real estate and how do you work towards overcoming it?

Keeping ahead of the pace! The way I work towards overcoming it is staying organized, networking (communicating with other people dealing with the market), and just staying active in the market so that I’m not getting passed up by the change!

What is at the top of your bucket list?  

I am working on some new bucket list items as I was able to check off my top bucket list item in February of 2017 which was Heli-snowboarding. I think my next #1 bucket list item would be to purchase or build a cabin in the mountains somewhere.

What is the greatest advice you’ve ever received?  


What recreational activities do you enjoy?  

Snowboarding, Snowmobiling, Timbersleding, Hockey games (GO AVS!!), Softball, Dirtbiking, Boating and Wakesurfing, Disc golf, Camping, Shooting, Biking, Taking my dog somewhere she can swim, 4 wheeling (jeeping), and anything active outdoors and something with a bit of a thrill involved.

Where is your favorite place in Colorado?  

I have a lot of favorite places, if I had to pick I’d probably say the Grand Lake area.
