Adam’s Story

Adam has first-hand experience as an investor, property manager, and a broker. His unique combination of experience gives him specific knowledge of what it takes to acquire, keep, manage, and maintain a rental property.

As an investment specialist, he is passionate about sharing what he has learned through years of experience. Atlas always says they are “owners helping owners” and Adam is exactly that. He currently owns and manages four of his own personal doors and is actively working towards building his own portfolio, while helping his clients to do the same.

When Adam originally joined the Atlas team, he started in a property management position where he managed several hundred properties ranging from single-family units to apartment buildings. As a property manager, he gained valuable insight by working first-hand with owners to set goals and meet their needs.

Adam is a native Coloradan. He lived in North Denver until he was 12 when he moved to Evergreen up at 10,000 ft. elevation near Mt. Evans. In 2019 he married his best friend. Adam currently has no kids but does have a Border Collie who travels with him everywhere.

What is your background?

I have a fairly interesting professional background. Shortly after high school, I was a caregiver at an assisted living facility in Evergreen Colorado. What an amazing experience that was! The next adventure was getting my barber license and opening a barbershop in Cherry Creek North. Then I became a real estate agent. Since starting with Atlas Real Estate, I’ve never looked back!

Why did you choose to work with Atlas Real Estate?

I chose Atlas because I felt right at home and welcomed from the start! Immediately I felt the positive vibe when I was interviewing for new opportunities. That vibe has expanded exponentially since then as I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. This company RULES!!! I love the environment, the people, and what the company stands for as well as what it does for its employees as well as its community in general.

What is the greatest challenge you see in real estate and how do you work towards overcoming it?

Keeping ahead of the pace! This is an everchanging industry. The way I work towards overcoming that challenge is to focus on staying active in purchasing my own investments in real estate so that I have a hands-on approach to helping others make similar investments and decisions. I am an owner helping owners!

What is at the top of your bucket list?

To travel to Japan, the Swiss Alps, Iceland and take a Greenland Heli – snowboarding trip.
Also, more of a goal than a bucket list item, but having a cabin in the mountains or a piece of land on or near a lake. This one is probably down the line quite a bit because I want more rentals in my portfolio and that “should” take priority.

What recreational activities do you enjoy?

In the winter I enjoy snowboarding, snowmobiling, and timber sledding (which is basically a dirtbike with a snow track and ski instead of tires) and Hockey games (GO AVS!!).

In the summer I enjoy dirt biking, boating, and wake surfing. I’ve played on the same softball team for well over 10 years and love active outdoor activities with a bit of a thrill.

Where is your favorite place in Colorado?

I have a lot of favorite places, but if I had to pick, I’d probably say the Grand Lake area for fun and for the beauty of the area.

I also have a sweet spot in my heart for the Valverde neighborhood as I have owned real estate there since 2008 and I love the location. It’s minutes to Downtown, easy access to the mountains, or any highway.
