What’s your background?
My degree is in social work, and I have worked in counseling and education. I acquired my real estate license to help pay the down payment for my first house and I’ve been working in real estate ever since. I have a background in residential, commercial, and income real estate.
Why did you choose to work with Atlas Real Estate?
I love the team and the purpose of helping clients build wealth through real estate. I have the freedom to design workshops to teach the knowledge that I have learned with this team. I like the way Atlas models how to make decisions with “we win, you win, everyone wins”. I can work and make a good living, continue to learn and be challenged, and help people build wealth through real estate.
What is the greatest challenge you see in real estate and how do you work towards overcoming it?
Affordability is a big issue. Even when things look impossible, they aren’t necessarily. I can help people understand the tools available to them to get them into the real estate market. Many options are available, like down payment grants, renting out part of your house to help pay the mortgage, and finding income property where part of the home pays for itself, for example a duplex. Where there is a will, there’s a way, with the right plan. I love to help people get started. My greatest strength and weakness is persistence.
What is at the top of your bucket list?
One day I want to live by the water.
What is the greatest advice you’ve ever received?
Get up. When things are hard, keep going.
What recreational activities do you enjoy?
Yoga, hiking, personal development, travel.
Where is your favorite place to visit?
Seattle and Salt Lake. The people I love are in those cities along with Denver.
